Mr.Gore Goffin said, “the hospital has two standby generators that provide back up for power but in most cases whenever the generators break down their repair takes unnecessarily long hence affecting service delivery”.

Mr.Besi Bernard the Senior Hospital Administrator, Moyo General Hospital confirmed saying, “its true the hospital is having challenges one of which happens to be the power crisis as the hospital has two generators where one of the generators got spoiled due to over use and the other still works though its not in a good state.

Concerning the water crisis, Besi Bernard said once the power issues are fixed their will be slight improvement in the water supply at the hospital.

Mr.Eno pasculino an elder and a catechist at moyo mission said, “the issue of power is very serious in Moyo sometimes taking many days to return leaving the town in darkness which affects service delivery” .

Mr.Eno Pasculino further added that power and water problems are more or less the same requesting the concerned authorities to have proper negotiations concerning water and power so as to avoid the constant crisis in the district.

Moyo general hospital like other offices in the district relays on Uganda electricity distribution limited supplied power from the national grid for running the hospital. However, on many occasions the power supply has not been reliable in the district and this greatly affected service delivery in the district.
